Get to know Miss Hartman
Hello! I am Miss Blair Hartman. I grew up in Champion, NE and attended Chase County Schools. I grew up on a cow-calf operation. My family also has a hydroponic tomato business, where we grow and market vine-ripened, hydroponic tomatoes, to local grocery stores and farmers markets. I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in December of 2017, with a Bachelors of Science in Agricultural Education and Work-based Learning. I completed my Student Teaching experience at Fillmore Central Public Schools, in Geneva, NE. After graduation I worked in Lawrence-Nelson Schools as a substitute for their Ag teacher, until mid-March. I finished the 2017-2018 school year as a substitute teacher in Shickley Public Schools. The 2018-2019 school year was my first year in Ansley, and I couldn't have asked for a better place to experience my first year of managing a classroom of excited, ambitious, and inquisitive young adults!
During my agricultural education experience, I participated in Parlimentary Procedure and Marketing Plan, where I was able to compete nationally in both events. I also competed in Ag Sales, Livestock Management, Range Evaluation, and Ag Demo. My Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAE) were classified in Diversified Livestock and Food Products and Processing. I had a share in a cow calf operation with my two siblings and we raised show hogs for a few years. My sister and I also made and sold hard candy suckers to our school concession stand! I served as a chapter officer for two years and was honored to serve as Vice President of the 2014-2015 Nebraska FFA State Officer team.
I will finish my Masters Degree in School Counseling in May of 2021. During my free time I enjoy playing and watching softball, evaluating livestock, cheering for the Huskers, and being home with family and friends!
